The whole thing reaks of straw man. The Grinch doesn't believe in the same things Arnold does. Responding with "I'm not your candidate" is one of the least cynical things I've heard all season.
If I was running a campaign and one of my platforms was gun control, and a gun enthusiast asked me what I would do for him if elected, I hope I'd be honest enough to say "Don't vote for me, I'm going to try to take your guns away".
