Step 1: Use infomercials to sell vitamins, fraudulently claiming that they treat cancer, diabetes, etc.
Step 2: Set up a MLM scheme, convincing people that they can get rich quick selling your vitamins.
Step 3: Profit
Step 4: Get indicted on 41 counts of conspiracy, mail fraud, wire fraud and promotional money laundering, after defrauding an estimated 220,000 victims of more than $50 million.
Step 5: Slit your throat in prison.

Short version.
Full history on Quackwatch.

Just imagine. 220,000 people. That's like the entire population of Irvine sitting around, each with a box of worthless vitamins they spent hundreds of dollars on. Dollars they'll never see again.

Makes me want to hug a banker, credit card executive, or payday loan officer, for their altrustic service to the community.

Yeah...but part of me wants to tell the buyers that if they were stupid enough to believe that vitamins advertised via infomercial would cure diabetes, then they did receive something of value - namely, a relatively inexpensive lesson in How The World Works. Not that this guy didn't deserve everything he got (at least up through Step 4.)
