okay, in an attempt to make this comment less useless, here are some apps that you may find useful as a new Android owner:
Swype (if your phone didn't come with it. Indispensable.)
Laputa (e-book reader)
NewsRob (or any other RSS reader, but I like this one. Plug in your Google Reader account and it makes checking the news or whatnot during lunch or in waiting rooms really easy.)
Twisty (Infocom games app)
I have plenty of others, of course, but mostly they're either well-known, not really that useful (RockPlayer is a great video player app, but I never actually bother to use it), or specific to IT work (SSH clients and such.)
