Essentialsaltes' Law of Ebay is unsurprisingly telling me that the bid for Uncharted 2 will go up 'a lot'.

I'm enjoying the anime, Planetes. It started off moderate/good, but eps 11-14 were mostly awesome. Now Netflix tells me they don't have the next disc. Boo. So I'm not averse to getting into things that get better, but they have to at least start off good. You may all now question my judgment for giving up on Firefly and Dresden Files.

My first try for Firefly resulted in snorting derision. My second try was prompted by Richard's LARP and resulted in me watching the whole series in 2 days.

I started Dresden in the middle, so I guess I dodged a bullet there.

I've never been able to get through Firefly. I enjoyed Serenity well enough, and tried giving Firefly two subsequent shots, but I find some of the characters and dialogue grating, and have just never been able to get very far with it.

Netflix seems really weird about their anime DVDs. I really like Naruto, which notably gets tons better about halfway through the 2nd boxed set and is worth wading through the 1st boxed set to get to. After a while, they got some of the Naruto Uncut sets in, but they have some and not others, and it seems really random what they stock. We've just ended up waiting till a cheap copy pops up for sale somewhere and buying them.

FWIW, I didn't like the latest Dresden. Maybe it's because I've been writing more, but some of the formula just wasn't doing it for me any more.
