Franklin Canyon

essentialsaltesPictures from our hike through Franklin Canyon, not far from Beverly Hills.
Always surprising to find nooks like this hidden away right in the middle of everything. Not a huge profusion of wildflowers, but still plenty. All the lizards you can eat, and we even ran across a coyote. Squirrels, birds, and plenty of bugs. Oh, and a cougar. But not the feline kind. This was a Beverly Hills matron with an immobile face and tits out to here, hiking the trail in a black bra.
Definitely a different crowd up here behind BH. Lexuses, BMW's and mini coopers, and oodles of locals walking their exotic dogs along the paths.
We hiked it all, and more. Heading back to the homestead, we picked up steaks and margarita fixings and spent some quiet time in the back 40. After some seared protein, I'm blogging and Dr. Pookie is napping. Sunday, I aspire to do nothing.
