Mike,

I was thinking that other possible culprits could be the very pagans that pushed for this site to be prepared. It could even be some pranksters that are neither Christians nor pagans. I'm not saying that Christians didn't do it (they're probably the most likely party), but that the article doesn't state who was responsible.
