Medieval on his fat ass
Nov. 21st, 2003 01:33 pmLast night we watched Pulp Fiction. I pictured our loan officer as Marsellus as he was getting butt-raped. It didn't make me feel any better.
I posted a long comment about obesity in kayven's blog.
To get your weekend off to an enjoyable start, I give you -- The Ample Sponge:

Nancy says, "I was upset when I realized that I couldn't reach every part of my body, but we did some research and found the Ample-Sponge."
The Ample-Sponge is a soft sponge on a firm handle that extends your reach in the bath or shower. It's also a great "travel" item for people who want to freshen up while out of the house, or who have reach problems when using the toilet (when a bidet isn't available).

The saga continues
Date: 2003-11-21 04:19 pm (UTC)3:50 Call Yvette. She has no idea what's going on, although she admits to vague recollections of discussions of the problem, whatever it is. She promises to look into it.
3:55 Call Sandy. Leave a message telling her I'm not sure what's going wrong but would it be a good idea to find a new lender at this point?
4:10 Sandy calls. She says the seller isn't going to back out, but she's been threatening Perry with that. She has also talked to Yvette. She says that Yvette told her the problem has to do with getting someone's signature, and he's out of town. Yvette is going to try to find a way around it. This sounds like BS to me, but I'm not going to tell Sandy that. Sandy says it's too late to change lenders, and it's probably too late to get anything done today, but she thinks it could still happen Monday. But even if the paperwork DOES come through Monday, it will be too late to get escrow to close until Monday of the following week (December 1st). Which means a) we can't move over Thanksgiving weekend and b) spending at least 2 more weeks in our apt--and paying 2 more weeks of rent. And so it goes.

Let's find out, shall we?
Washington Mutual.

Date: 2003-11-21 11:45 pm (UTC)I used to have them, just as a regular client. I financed my movies through them (the last two, I believe). I deposit a check (a low four figures) for one movie.
SIX MONTHS later, the check comes back, NSF, and I'm overdrawn. It took the bank SIX MONTHS to process a check from another southern California bank (like, Wells Fargo).
I promptly cancelled my account when they accused me of waiting six months to deposit the check. I couldn't even get bank statements for that far back to prove it.

Some complainants allege their payments on loans or mortgages are not posted or applied as agreed. Other clients complain of poor customer service, unexplained charges or repetitive billing errors.
The company responds in some cases by correcting accounts or issuing credits. Some complaints remain unresolved, meaning the complainants are not satisfied with the company's responses. Other complaints are unanswered."
