It's that time of year again

when my Google Alerts start getting lots of mentions of the War on Christmas. As usual, not much actual warfare is going on, but there are still lots of people upset about it. The AFA is keeping track of which stores say Merry Christmas and which ones don't.

Well, okay, there is the story of the local busybodies objecting to (and even vandalizing -- I can't approve of that) a tree erected on public property.

It amuses me that the AFA is implicitly supporting (well, maybe explicitly, I haven't read through the whole thing) the commercialization of Christmas.
