For colleenky's natal anniversary, a bunch of us gathered at the new (to me) Landmark Theater at the Westside Pavilion for an opening night showing of 9. With so many 9's conspiring, we found this as a little not-birthday gift for her:

I enjoyed the movie, but the uberplot/resolution was disappointing; go for the art, not the story. Think of it as a dark, steampunk, WALL-E, with quite a bit more action. Not for the kids. Indeed, the middle-aged matron seated next to me was shuddering at some of the violence.

I'm glad you liked it. I definitely want to see it -- for a while we were working on a video game adaptation, unfortunately it got canceled due to our publisher's financial problems.

Bummer. But surely it wouldn't cost much to make some Little Big Planet skins and levels!
