colleenky's natal anniversary, a bunch of us gathered at the new (to me) Landmark Theater at the Westside Pavilion for an opening night showing of 9. With so many 9's conspiring, we found this as a little not-birthday gift for her:

I enjoyed the movie, but the uberplot/resolution was disappointing; go for the art, not the story. Think of it as a dark, steampunk, WALL-E, with quite a bit more action. Not for the kids. Indeed, the middle-aged matron seated next to me was shuddering at some of the violence.
