Agh. Yesterday and today, Profiles in History is auctioning off Forry Ackerman's stuff.

The auction catalog is a 27 meg document with great photos of stuff I want and probably can't afford. And can I look through a thousand entries from today's auction in time to bid on anything? Doubtful.

Wow, two days seems ridiculously insufficient to auction all of this.

And they are auctioning things I never thought would be put up for auction, like his Lugosi ring.

The ring surprised me, too. Thought it would be buried with him... but he was cremated. I spose you could pop it in the urn.

I can't understand the website, but it looks like only about half the stuff sold (the good stuff).

Though I think I can still own a piece of Hunter S. Thompson!

Shit, I missed out on what I was going to bid for: The Voight-Kampff test (the question manual)!

(too drunk to make links, just know those items were in there)
