I doubt he's receiving visitors. He is in fact dying at home and (as I understand it) refusing further medical treatment.

He's asked people to send him letters -

Even if you do what I did, just write "I love you" on a piece of paper and mail it, please do something if he touched your life in some way.

That seems like a terrible piece of information to get wrong. My family and I sent flowers to him early yesterday, so I'm glad they had a chance to reach him.
