If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now,(even if we don't speak often or ever) please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL memory of you and me.

It can be anything you want - good or bad - BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE.

When you're finished, post this little paragraph in your LJ and see what your friends come up with.

Remember that one time we saved the Republic from the stupid Jedi? That was hi-larious.

Remember that time I invited you to play in an Alternate Reality Game, but we accidentally infiltrated a real government compound instead of the fictional one? You'd killed three men with your bare hands and just bitten into the neck of a fourth when you realized that those weren't blood packets!
Horror and confusion warred briefly on your face, but then you shrugged and pointed out that the only way we'd get out alive now was to finish what we'd started.
I set to hacking the mainframe while you mixed up a deadly brew in the conveniently co-located chemistry lab.
The sad thing was, we were in such a hurry that we just torched the place on our way out instead of finding any secrets. And we never did find the goddamn fake facility we were supposed to have invaded in the first place!!

Remember when we took over Knudsen hall, ran the professors off and switched everything from top to bottom. That atom condenser and transporter device really helped get the stuff from the top floor to the basement. I wonder if they ever got the stuff back to its original spot, especially the experiments that were purposefully hidden in the basement.

It's funny, but I was just thinking of that night last year at the Dominican embassy. I had no idea until then that you smelled of sage and vanilla, nor that you knew how to dance the guaguancó. But we certainly held everyone's attention while Becca was upstairs rifling the ambassador's safe, didn't we?

I meant to ask: did you ever find the last of the homunculi after I left? I thought we got all of them, but the box was two shy of a dozen when I finally got it home to count. And I'm quite sure they're not in the car.

In any case, make sure you wear slippers until they turn. As Aaron found out, the little fuckers have really sharp teeth.

I'll never forget the first time I saw you. The moonlight coming through the skylight sparkled off the marble floor like ocean waves. And there you were - all in black from head to foot, your gloves and mask made of the finest silk. Suspended above the floor as you were, it was as though you were a dark angel sculpted in ebony - a fine addition to the rest of the priceless artifacts in the room. Your prize was in your hands, and you turned to me with that devilish look I have come to know so well. Then you were gone, and I knew it would not be the last time we would cross paths in search of the same quarry.

You remember that one time we got each other pregnant just to test out the different brands of coat hangers? That was great fun.

Too many memories to pick just one. But I'll always remember the promise we made in that temple in Cambodia -- when the Gathering comes, I'll take yours last.

I suppose there were good times once, but unsurprisingly all I can think of is the time you "accidentally" hit me with your car, buried my body in secret and told everyone I had "returned to the East Coast."

Be assured that my ectoplasmic power and control grows steadily, and one day I will take my revenge.

So many memories... So little time... What about when we built that robot who looked liked O.J. Simpson and programmed him to go through Beverly Hills proselytizing for the Jehovah's Witnesses?

I seem to recall that one day when you failed to surprise me, impress me, expand my mind, increase my vocabulary, enrage the religious right, hold for with pithy exuberance, put someone in their place, blog about science and reason, entertain us, or levitate above my bed wearing a Saran Wrap sarong while mouthing the words to Katy Perry's "I kissed a girl".

I have never understood what drove you to stand up in front of everybody at that HP Lovecraft Film Festival and deliver a glaring-eyed, foaming-mouthed, 20-minute sermon about what a sap Lovecraft was, how much the Cthulhu Mythos sucks, and how much everybody there needed to get a life and stop making five-for-a-nickel movies about seafood demons from beyond outer space. I was as dumbfounded as anybody else was, though I admit I wish I'd brought a video camera. Particularly when you set fire to a $500 collectible Necronomicon (belonging to Ramsey Campbell, no less) and screamed, "COME AND GET ME, PISSHOLES! YOUR ELDER GODS ARE DINGLEBERRIES ON THE ANUS OF HORROR FICTION!! POPPY Z. BRITE FOREVERR!!!"

The Poppy Brite tattoo was kind of nice, though. Painful place to have it...
