Newsweek Interview:
NW: When you're onstage [in Macbeth on Broadway], aren't you worried about weird Trekkie fans in the Audience?

Stewart: Oh, come on, that's just a silly thing to say.

NW: But they are weird.

Stewart: How many do you know personally? You couldn't be more wrong. here's the thing: if you say the fans are weird, that means there is something essentially weird about the show, and there is nothing weird about it. I'm very passionate when people like you snigger.

The Newsweek interviewer evidently felt ill-used, since the interview appears under the title "Mr. Stewart loves his Trekkies", and the accompanying photo of Stewart with dagger in hand is captioned "Is that a Klingon I see?"

So, Mr. or Ms Sniggering Passive-Aggressive interview-doing person... you suck.

I saw an interview with him years ago, when TNG started getting popular after that disastrous first season, wherein the interviewer gushed over how he was one of the most highly regarded Shakespearean actors of his generation, and asked if he wasn't worried that he'd always be remembered as a starship captain.

Stewart said something to the effect of, "'Always be remembered...' Worried? No."
