Impressive! Did these get a lot of full-on sunlight or were any better in more shady spots? I am struggling to find spots in the yard that aren't too shady for more producey-plants.

Yeah, these get sun most of the day, and I think that's definitely what they like. Last year's plot probably got a little more shade, but the zucchini and pumpkin did just fine.
