It's awesome, yes, but I don't think it'll hit the real market any time soon. I skimmed one or two parts in the article while reading the rest but didn't see any thoughts on when it'd be released for public purchase, did you?
Perhaps you would be interested in a Smartcar? Only a mere 60mpg or so, but on the plus side, you should actually be able to buy them here within the next couple years.
