We're taking a similar cruise in November. Missing Rhodes, but hitting Athens and Mykonos and Istanbul (not Constantinople). Your pictures have made us even more excited about the trip...

What was the place in Istanbul that was all dark and wet and spooky? Was that the Basilica Cistern? Or the Cistern Chapel, or something like that?

Yes, that's the cistern. It won't matter to you in November, probably, but it was pleasantly cool down there, albeit drippy.
