UCLA has been targetted by animal rights groups who disagree with the use of animals in medical and scientific research. Not just laidback vegans, but people like the non-Einsteins who left a bomb at a researcher's neighbor's house, or firebombed a researcher's car. UCLA Pro-Test for Science is asking supporters of ethical animal research to gather at the corner of Westwood Boulevard and LeConte Avenue from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, to counter a candlelight vigil announced by anti-research activists.
You can also sign a petition in support of animal research, or learn more about the animal research.
