Couple things of LA note

Chris Hitchens vs. evangelical theologian Douglas Wilson in Collision, a documentary having its LA premiere on the 29th at the Landmark Theater.


UCLA has been targetted by animal rights groups who disagree with the use of animals in medical and scientific research. Not just laidback vegans, but people like the non-Einsteins who left a bomb at a researcher's neighbor's house, or firebombed a researcher's car. UCLA Pro-Test for Science is asking supporters of ethical animal research to gather at the corner of Westwood Boulevard and LeConte Avenue from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, to counter a candlelight vigil announced by anti-research activists.
