I don't know how much authority "Sky News" has, but I haven't heard anything about it, nor have I read anything about it in the Hollywood Reporter (not yet, anyway). Doesn't mean it won't happen. If JLO and Affleck both agree to be in a picture, no matter what the picture is, it will get made. And most people, being stupid fucking idiots, will go and watch it.
There's a great story going around that some disillusioned screenwriter (not sure if there is any other kind) took the script to "Casablanca" and ripped the cover page off, slapped on a new one (new title/author), and sent it off to studios for coverage. I believe the bulk of the reasers caught the joke, but not all...a sizeable percentage didn't recognize it, and some even gave it unfavorable coverage. What's scary is that not only do studio readers not recognize "Casablanca" when they read it (since they haven't seen the movie, of course), but that they don't even recognize a good story.
Welcome to Hollywood.
I'll keep my eye out for this and scream if I hear anything.
