None of the words "Christian", "Christ", or "Jesus" appear in the article, so there's no exact indication of the man's faith. However, in all fairness, given the fact that this took place in the United States, there is a high probability that the man would claim to be a Christian. Of course, murdering someone is strictly against the tenets of Christianity, so such a claim would be very suspect.
