I just bumped into a reference to Dragonmaster. My brain had nearly forgotten this game, but now it all comes flooding back. The cool art, the little plastic gems. Ah...
Must check Pat's list o' games to see if he has it. Thor only knows where mine went. It probably sucked anyway.

FUCK, I wish I still had that game. I forgot what the objective was...but yeah, I remember the gems, the cards.

Did you have the electronic D&D games? There was a tiny hand held one, where you were an archer that had to kill a dragon, and you had to find the bow and arrow. You were in this maze...

And the larger one, where the board was a castle, and you had these metal figures that you would push down on the squares on the board, and listen for the sound that would tell you what was in there. Little plastic wall pieces to make the maze. Another maze game.
