The paralyzing angst of time change
Nov. 7th, 2010 08:44 amFor months, the various timepieces have accumulated slight systematic errors. But I know and mentally adjust for these systematic errors. I know that that clock is a wee bit fast, and that one is a scotch slow.
Now that it's time to fall back, I could just set everything back an hour, keeping the errors and my mental correction intact, or correct the times, setting my mental rhythms askew.
Which is all to say... I'm fortunate that this is the scale of the problems I'm facing today. Call it an early thanksgiving.
