Wow, I almost completely forgot about it. The fair is at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza today and tomorrow (and yesterday). $10 to get in; well worth it just for the smell of old books (if you like that sort of thing). It's like a museum for sale. Running through their search function, I find that four booksellers list a specialty in alchemy. How cool is that?
The theme for this year's design concept and Special Exhibits is all about great books turned into great movies. We are exploring the journey a story makes from the book to the big screen, with a focus on Best Picture Academy Award-winning films. The majority of Best Picture OscarĀ® winners have been based upon literary forms, and rare editions of each book will be showcased in the exhibit, along with a selection of unique association items from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Margaret Herrick Library.
I'll try to squeeze in some time there tomorrow.

Griffith Park Carousel
Feb. 13th, 2010 09:21 pmSpent some time at Griffith Park for
aaronjv's Dreamlands RPG, for which I was guest starring as an NPC. While we all gathered, I checked out the carousel. Later we gamed at the site of the old zoo, where the enclosures still remain as a picnic area. Click through for more photos.
