Some time ago, I mentioned the Einstein letter that was being auctioned, in which he calls "the Bible a collection of honourable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish."

Though we still don't know what physics-loving bidder bought the letter for $400K or so, more (all?) of the text of the letter is available here, with some helpful commentary, including a nice quote from elsewhere in Einstein's writings:
In the end, ideas were the heart of religion for Einstein. “The path to genuine religiosity,” he once said, “does not lie through the fear of life, and the fear of death, and blind faith, but through striving after rational knowledge.”
