Short Version: Wow, imagine the odds that Stella Krploknik would win the Mega Millions jackpot with those 6 particular numbers! If we ran a lotto every day, it would take 146 trillion years for that to happen by chance alone, considerably longer than the age of the universe. And yet she did win with those very same 6 numbers. Therefore, Pascal's Theory of Probability is inadequate to explain the evidence and should be replaced with the Theory of Intelligent Gambling.

Vera! What has become of you?

Does anybody here remember Vera Lynn?

Apparently the British do, as the rerelease of her album hit #1 on the UK album charts, beating out those upstart Beatles.

Since rights expire in 50 years, 92-year-old Dame Vera (DBE) won't see a farthing of royalty money, but at least it looks like Decca will throw a few shillings her way.
