BOYLE HEIGHTS - In a hidden corner of a cemetery filled with austere monuments to some of Los Angeles' early movers and shakers, the remains of more than 100,000 forgotten souls are packed into common graves.
Nineteen hundred more will be buried there today when a few county officials gather quietly on the one-acre plot, with the skyscrapers of downtown Los Angeles as a backdrop.
