Saturday was the Enigma 'garage sale' at the Venice High School swapmeet. Not as hip as the one at Fairfax HS, it was still good enough to move a fair amount of closet-crud. Contrary to my expectations, we didn't just sell our stuff to each other. First, the other dealers came by to swoop up Aaron's bargain basement prices on cassettes and vids, so they could restock their own wares and resell them at a 300% mark-up. Then, the various Venice residents and ragamuffins looked over our stuff. I worry about some of the other sellers - like the one with packages of panty-shields for sale. Anyway, it was neat to hang out with friends and watch the world go by, despite the sunburn on my arms. And it was particularly good to have Riz show up so that we could talk him into buying things he didn't need:
That evening was the step-bro & sis-in-law's going away party. Becca and I were pretty tired, but we hung out for a bit and helped deplete the alcohol supply.
Sunday, I did as close to nothing as makes no difference.
