Yesterday was our office lunch. As we did last year, we went to the Cheesecake Factory. Lunch was okay, and it was certainly helped by my consumption of a Guinness and a martini. If I sound a little lackluster in my enthusiasm for the Cheesecake Factory, it's because my mom has decided that we will have Christmas Eve dinner there. Ah well, I'll probably survive, but somehow I expect there will be some kind of miserable story afterwards.
Anyway, after the office lunch, we came back and opened our Secret Santa prezzies. I scored America (the book), which is living up to the high expectations set by being named Book of the Year (though I think it falls somewhat short of that!). It's sort of a Politics Made Stupid.
And the bossfella had a few Franklins for each of us, which is always nice. Today, I went off at lunchtime and cracked a Franklin on the new Prince of Persia game. They promised me more violence and mature themes. They better deliver.
