Cable was officially cut this past Monday. I miss A&E's Sherlock Holmes and Poirot series and Discovery Health's "The Baby Human" child development series and, of course, The Daily Show, but they sure as hell weren't worth almost $70/month. Now I just need to moderate my CSI viewing, as I've been spending way too much time catching up on the season 3 DVDs.

As far as commercials on PBS, at least (as far as I know), they don't (yet) interrupt programs to show them, keeping them as bookends. I just hope it doesn't influence future programming itself.
