All in the family

News has reached me that a 'long-lost' cousin on my mother's side has made contact with the California contingent of the family. My cousin was lead singer for [Jefferson] Starship in the 90's (& most of the 00's).

Is this awesome (Y/N)?

ETA: Having received further information, I have calculated that we are third cousins [i.e. we share a pair of great-great-grandparents]
