The Happy and Sad game
I'm happy that I grew a new skill today. I did something that was practically cooking. I made chipotle pork tenderloin, and even turned the targetting computer off and made minor substitutions and additions to the ingredients. Then when
dark_of_night got back from Tartan Hall, I fired up some charcoal and magically produced a marinated tenderloin. It turned out great.
I'm sad that my mom was evacuated from her house because of the fire in Brea. (that link is actually a really useful fire map courtesy of the OC Register)
I'm happy that she's safe and that that particular fire seems to have done little damage.
I'm sad that meatheads can say things like, "I don't have a problem with torture"
I'm happy that I called her "repellent and barbaric."
I'm sad that she replied with a dancing smileyface icon.
I'm happy that I offered to buy her a t-shirt for Christmas that reads "I approve of torture."

I believe verse Mom 3:23 reads "Two wrongs don't make a right."
Forgive my ignorance, but what verse, specifically, are your referring to?
Seriously?
Maybe the KJV doesn't have mom. shrug.

I will not register on that forum and jump into the fire with as much rocket fuel as I can carry.
I wonder if those other posters have read the TOS lately.
I will not write my arguments out here, as I am preaching to the converted.
But GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!
Recipe for reference
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 1 hour
Total Time: 1 hour, 15 minutes
Ingredients:
2 pork tenderloins, 12-16 ounces
1 8 ounce can of tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup cider vinegar
5 canned chipotle peppers, finely chopped
5-6 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Preparation:
To prepare marinade: combine all ingredients, except pork, in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and let cool.
Place pork tenderloins in a shallow pan, pour over marinade. Cover and marinate in refrigerator for 2-4 hours.
Remove tenderloins from marinade. Make sure to reserve marinade for later use. Preheat grill. Place pork on grill rack and cook over medium high indirect heat for 35-45 minutes. Brush occasionally with reserved marinade during the first half of the cooking time only. Remove from heat and let stand for 10-12 minutes before slicing.
