The 2007 Miss Canada Plus has been uninvited to be a judge at the Miss Toronto Tourism pageant. Why?

"She states that her hobbies are yoga, reiki and tarot card reading. Our board of directors has eliminated her as a judge as tarot card reading and reiki are the occult and ... not acceptable by God, Jews, Muslims or Christians. ... We hope [she] will turn from these belief systems and will repent from her practice of them."



While we're stuck in a medieval mindset, do you suppose a plus-sized witch weighs the same as a duck?

Okay, the tarot card bigotry doesn't necessarily surprise me, but reiki = occult? Haven't heard that one before...

Yeah, Reiki is just like a paladin's 'laying on of hands', so it must be lawful good.
