Probably, but since my current work-puter is also a Dell, this is a Hell I'm familiar with. It's like a jacuzzi -- you don't notice the heat after you get used to it.

I have an IBM, and it hasn't shown its dark side quite yet, apart from being clunky in it's look and feel, unforgiving with it's cursor movements, and generally blah when it comes to user-friendliness.
