Two oddities for the price of one

Athanasius Kircher rises once more in my esteem. Jesuit, linguist, cryptographer, musician and all-around polymath. He may not have been able to decipher the Voynich Manuscript (then again neither has any one else) but one cannot but admire the mind that invented the cat piano.
