Why did I not know that Greg Graffin of Bad Religion teaches biology at UCLA?

Honestly people, you have to tell me these things.

Hey there!

Hey, saw your location from a poll on [livejournal.com profile] atheism, and decided to friend you, if you don't mind. In fact, this very post I'm commenting on is a good reason why I friended you -- great local atheist info. :)

I go through periods of posting more and posting less. I'm in a 'less' phase right now; hopefully that'll change soon. Feel free to friend back or skip as you see fit.

No problem. Welcome to the fun.

Do you know [livejournal.com profile] dogofthefuture IRL? I only know him, uh, virtually.

I "met" [livejournal.com profile] dogofthefuture online, but actually saw him somwehat briefly IRL when I went to TAM4 in Vegas in 2006. Are you active with any of the LA-area skeptical or atheist groups? I usually go to the Skeptics lectures, and occasional CFI events. I was one of the late night readers at CFI for the 24hr continuous reading of Origin of Species -- that was fun and crazy!

I was briefly involved with CFI's Independent Investigations Group, but then they started charging for meetings.

Otherwise, I live a hermit-like existence.

Argh! I had strongly considered attending that group, but the times for the meetings were notated with an "AM" and I am strongly nocturnal. But I was considering making an exception for that group. :P
